    1. Glad you noticed. It makes all the difference in the world. Mother Nature’s next challenge is sunlight not until at 8:30am. I usually start the day hiking in the dark. GPS takes everything to a new dimension. Do you remember when we sheltered in a hut until the rain stopped and then scrambled up rock on the C2C hike? Technology is amazing.       1. Yes, I remember taking shelter in that hut and being so grateful for the respite from the storm. I also remember that poor fellow by himself who came so unprepared; he’d left his car parked near the top of the ridge on the opposite side of the giant valley and had become disoriented in the fog and gone down the opposite side of the ridge and ended up with us on the other side of the valley. He seemed totally unprepared and I’ve often wondered how/if he made it back to his car. It was a long way away and up a very steep slope on the other side of the valley we were in.

    1. I’m having a baggage service carry what a done need while walking. That’s really helped with aching feet and back. Now it feels more like our Cotswold Walk. ~linda
