As with many European beaches, no sand. The tumbling rocks made a haunting percussion sound. Could this be the origin of rock ‘n’ roll?
The turquoise blue water is made from flaking chalk dissolving in the ocean.

The chalk cliffs are made from the remains of shells of microscopic creatures which lived on the seabed millions of years ago. As Ice Age glaciers moved, the seabed was compacted and forced upward producing chalk cliffs.

From the first breathtaking pictures Anna sent me of Møns Klint, I knew I wanted to experience these 400 feet chalk cliffs first hand.

Møn is a 237 square mile island located 75 miles south of Copenhagen. Møn is UNESCO site featuring spectacular Ice Age glacier landscape. All this to be explored by me!

28 hours from my door to Møn, Denmark just in time for sunset.
