Tingle-Jingle – May 31, 2022

  • Ottawa-Montréal Camino #1
  • Ottawa to Orleans
  • Distance: 13.2 miles
  • Time: 6 hours 45 minutes
  • Ascent: 387 feet / Descent: 379 feet
  • Weather: 75 degrees, clear skies

Most of today’s walk was forested on pebble paths beside the Ottawa River. Cyclists, pedestrians, and dogs shared the path. All bicycles must have a bell to warn pedestrians of their approach. How lovely to hear a tingle-jingle and not a burst “make way.”

Happy dog with total disregard to posted sign, “no dogs.”

  1. Dear Linda,
How wonderful that you are doing a travel blog, I am looking forward to virtually being part of your walk. The path along the Ottawa River sounds delightful, and I can just imagine the friendships that will result from this adventure in your small group of like-minded folks! best, Bill

    1. Thanks Bill. Three in our set participated in Ottawa’s Tamarack Race weekend. Your kind of running folks. I hope your hand is healing nicely. ~linda

    1. Yes beauty to behold. I’m amazed at the flatness of the area. It makes for great walking while being a different beauty from our Blue Ridge Mountains. ~linda
