Wet to Dry – June 9, 2022

  • Ottawa-Montréal Camino #10
  • Hudson to Saint-Matthew-sir-le-Lac
  • Distance: 14.5 miles / Total: 122 miles
  • Time: 5 hours 45 minutes
  • Ascent: 427 feet / Descent: 447 feet
  • Weather: 60 degrees, steady rain, mid-day cloudy

Presbytery provided tonight’s accommodation plus a hair dryer for clothes and wet shoes. For me, I stuffed newspapers in my shoes and set them close to the rear of the refrigerator where the motor put off heat. The shoes gently dried in a few hours. Save the hair drier for a hair salons!

My nest in the foreground. The hallway, with a drying rack, became our version of a laundry mat. The rooms distinctly smelled like many, many wet dogs. I’ll slept with the window open.

    1. Delighted to hear from you! You would approve of the way the group of five takes care of each person. Only a half hour until our accommodation but a break was needed so we all have stopped at Tim Horton’s for beverages. Have your travels to Canada taken you to a Tim Horton’s? ~linda
