- Day 1: Lisbon
- Weather: 65-80 degrees / overcast, sunny
Series of city hills, twisting streets, and metro re-constructions makes orienting in Lisbon immensely challenging. “Rooftop” views are spectacular; yet, disjointed for orientation. Rambling I discover Lisbon. City signage keeping tourists huddled from one site to another. We’re like a swarm of bees around the queen bee. Move two blocks off the landmark routes and there isn’t a tourist to be found.

Hi Linda how are you?Do you have the chance to listen a little bit of Fado?Mariza is a famous singer there.Try it to feel the melancoly of Lisboa.Enjoy😊

My loss. The museum is in Lisbon which was at the start of my trip. (I began blogging after Lisbon. I’m writing about it a month later. Lisbon September dates. Madrid October dates.) I‘ve Googled Calouste-Gulbenkiam. Cool. ~linda

Bruno you are ever faithful. As I didn’t blog while in Lisbon, I’m writing about that experience now. Lisbon are September dates and Madrid are October dates. I’m bouncing between the two…filling in the gaps. Thanks for the music recommendation. I’ll try to find her work on line. Cheers, linda

It’s the only way I start my day in Spain. I try to find a “hole in the wall” café filled with locals for my morning café con leche and toast. Glad you appreciated it too. ~linda
