Fátima and Portugal are synonymous. Following in the footsteps of Pope John Paul II, we went to Fátima. In 1917 the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children. Three Secrets were revealed to to them. Fátima has become a major pilgrimage center.

I see that you visited Fatima, we went there in 2019 when travelling to Portugal. Personally I found the place beautiful but a bit too commercial. Hope everything is ok for you.

Yes the cathedrals is beautiful but it is a souvenir epidemic. Were you doing karate in Portugal? Is Lisa ready to walk the Camino? ~linda

I was in Fatima in ’17 for the 100th years anniversary. There is something special there. The miracle of the sun was seen by thousands of people present there in october 1917. Have you seen people following the camino de Lucia ? They “walk” on their knees through this big place. Friends and family sweep the floor because of pebbles. I have done it. It’s this white path on the left of your first picture. Love. Sophie
