Wonderful to read your blog, and especially now, as I was walking the portuguese way too a few days ago … So good to follow you again … Just some info about Fatima : in 1917 Virgin Mary appeared to 3 children : Lucia, Jacintha and Francisco (brother and sister were Lucia’s cousins). Fatima is the name of the village where it happened. Fatima is now a very important pilgrimage for all the country, and, as you noticed, very often on azulejos on houses. Enjoy our walk !
