Long walking on asphalt was paused by a walk through Eucalyptus Forests and crossing a Medieval bridge. Just rewards.

Your beautiful smile made me smile Linda. Hope your toe is better! The Romans were so clever with stone arches – I bet that bridge will still be there hundreds of years from now. The marigolds are a favorite of mine; I have yellows and oranges planted all along our driveway, but still just a couple inches tall not blooming gorgeously like the ones in your photo. Thank you for sharing your travels; the ancient burial mound and the picture of you successfully surfing are my favorites so far from this journey. Mary Ann and I are enjoying being with the grandchildren this weekend in Tampa, and I am spending time just thinking about some of our parasitology work in Bangladesh. Best, Bill

Yes, the Romans built to last. We can take lessons from them. When do you return to Bangladeshi? ~linda

Beautiful pictures. Especially love the eucalyptus forest and the Roman bridge. Just made departure plane with Kem. We will head north on the 20th after a dinner at Marigolds. Take care. Bev-

As there are no Roman remains in North America, we can marvel at the quality of Roman construction . ~ linda
