- Portuguese Central Camino: Day 6 / Porto
- Weather: 60 – 65 degrees / blue skies with clouds
I remembered the walking tour guide from 2022 but didn’t remember soon enough his persona as a stand-up comedian want-to-be. I tipped him, aborted the tour, and salvaged the afternoon. I wowed myself by finding the shop that sold cork placements seen in 2022. A happy VISA moment.

Good for you for escaping the tour guide! One of the many beauties of going it alone, and not being trapped in a group Linda. The tiled train station is impressive as is the pretty little goat hauling port! Best Bill

Thanks for the kind words. It takes broad skills and knowledge to be a good guide. Leave it to you to see the details I. The tile work. How your conference goes well. ~linda

Porto is becoming more and more popular as a relocation spot for Americans and Europeans. Weather, economic advantages, people, and food make it attractive. Cool. Have you thought of visiting them? ~linda

Congratulation on escaping a mediocre tour guide, life is too short to endure boredom. I would rather have a guide present the facts rather than try to interject humor.

A bit of humor is good as it releases tension which can build up with heavy information or to capture attention before dropping vital points in a tour. Being a guide is an art. ~linda
