- Portuguese Central Camino: Day 19/ Patrón to Santiago
- Distance: 15.6 miles / Total 234.8 miles
- Ascent: 1,635’ / Descent: 853’
- Time: 6 hours 5 minutes
- Weather: 66- 73 degrees / rain, light rain, overcast
With a 5:00am break in the rain, I began the final walk to Santiago. The lull was short and sweet. Dry shoes transitioned to damp and to watered logged shoes. Soaked shoes are freeing because all efforts to avoid puddles can be ignored. I can think about better things. I think about history filled with pilgrims walking the same way.

WOW! Your smile says it all!!! So happy for you and this grand adventure!
