One reason your photos of French towns and countryside are so beautiful – there don’t seem to be power lines and phone/cable/fiber lines running everywhere! Or cell phone towers! It all looks timeless.

Hi Dave. Thanks for the photo compliments. There are electrical lines here and there. I immediately rule out those photo opportunities. The longevity of stone structures amazes me. Nature doesn’t wreak havoc on them. No tornados or hurricanes. I wonder about the stories these dwellings could tell. The history they have endured. ~linda

I remember seeing this town from the far side of the river ten years ago. I had an impossibly long walk that day and could only see it from afar. I thought how nice it would be to be here. Who would have thought I would be here ten years later! ~linda
