Number of walkers has dramatically decreased since Conques. I only know of one pilgrim who is going to Santiago. He’s from Minnesota! That makes the estimate less than 1%. Santiago does not have good statistics for pilgrims only walk in France. Most people are doing a week hike or a section of the Camino.

So many other hikers! Is getting a bed a problem? What percentage, would you estimate, are planning to walk all the way to Santiago de Compostella?
