Street Walkers –  April 16, 2025

  • Weather:  50-65°/ sunshine and clouds mixed, winds  10-15 mph 

The Gion District of Kyoto is one of the oldest and is associated with Geishas. Just blocks from my inn are the two streets most attached to Geishas. They slip along these streets with eyes cast straightforward looking at no one and seeking no attention. 

Eyes cast straight forward.
No cell phone in hand.
Looking neither right or left.
Red lanterns with white circles are associated with exclusive establishments in Gion District.
