- Venice: Day 1
- Weather: 60/80° / sunny & winds 10-15 mph
Though Venice is only 2 and 1/2 square miles, it’s a spider web of canals making walking on land a challenge. Water taxis are the best way to go. I sat in the immediate front of the Vaporetto taxi with a grin on my face riding to my accommodation. I’m here.

Linda We are ready to follow you in the next adventure❤️❤️❤️

Enjoy Venice, Linda !
I love this place. No car, people walk, you only hear pigeon cooing and flop flop of the water in the canal. And if you turn right or left from any main street, you avoid flows of tourists and always discover a hidden gem. Have a drink from a terrace on a rooftop above the Grand Canal, enjoy The Four Season of Vivaldi in any place and have a hot chocolate or afternoon tea in Café Florian. Carpe Diem !

I had octopus for dinner tonight. Ours was better. Thanks for the great suggestions. I pass The Four Seasons today. Next time I’ll stop for hot chocolate. ~linda

You know I love bridges! That one with the second story with all the little arches is unlike anything I’ve ever seen!

I cannot imagine Venice without footbridges. Destinations are always on the other side of the lagoon. ~linda
