Out of the mountains.
Into the valley.
Organic and natural.
Under the cloud is a conical shaped mountain which was seen on the horizon two days ago. As we walk around its base, Pamplona comes in view. My distinction is its neighboring town, Puenta la Reigna.
Yesterday we were in a fabulous gorge encircled by the rugged Pyrenees. In a day’s walk, we enter a valley encircled by rounded and more gentle mountains.
Double whammy.
Only one bar in town and it’s Monday, the typical closing day for Spanish shops.
No food to be had at any price. Sophie, Diego, and I empty our food bag of emergency stash. The combination is a Pilgrim’s feast.
The town’s Albergue lets us complementary use their facility.

Diego. That makes two Americans on the Arles Camino. He has joined Sophie and I walking.
We’ve got all the bases covered…Spanish, French, and English.
