An early morning sky formed the perfect setting for the last walk on the Cammino.

“Lamb Chop” was a puppet character in a 1955 children’s television series. The expression in these sheep’s face bring back memories.
Test your skill at finding clues. See the clue? On the lower right is a rock with a green dot of paint. Like the children’s book, Where’s Waldo,? clues are hidden everywhere. It becomes a game finding clues. If you don’t play this game well, you may end up walking extra miles.
Fork in the road. Which way? See the clues on the upper right section of the first pictured road? The signature arrow, albeit only made of unpainted wood and not mounted on a tree or post, is there. The arrow and a rock with a dot of green paint are carefully placed clues for the watchful eye.
Water and dirt make mud. Combine the previous day of rain with river bottom land and the result is huge quantities of mud.
A few hours of walking in the drizzle were exchanged with time spent with an Italian family. Though my room was luxurious, I chose to spend the time with the family in their home relaxing by the fireplace stove. An added bonus was a cooking lesson and the recipe for excellent the tart.

Tomorrow I walk half stage while others walk the full stage. I will be breaking the cycle of these lovely people, a hard task to do. On the Cammino, new friends fill the void. It’s a growing proposition.
