- Portuguese Camino: Day 01 / Lisbon to Alpriate

- Weather: 85 degrees / cycling overcast, rain, sunny
What to expect Camino post-Covid? The Albergue host confirms there are fewer hostels and those open fill daily. A local baker delivers breads, sweets, and cheeses every day to the village. These deliveries are more than a convenience to communities without grocery stores.

Dear Linda,
So looking forward to your travelogue Linda, makes me feel like I am there with you. Thank you for the article on the trombonist; I had no idea how young New Orlean’s jazz is!
Sincerely,
Bill

Glad you enjoyed the trombonist article. I look forward to you next jamming session with Harry. Saw many runners when I left Lisbon in the early morning hours. With the cobblestones and hills this would be one marathon to pass. ~linda

I had thoughts of our conversation about low top hiking shoes being sucked off by mud. So far the mud has not need as heavy as in France. Any Caminos planned? ~linda
