Reverence – Oct. 15, 2022

  • Portuguese Camino: Day 32 Padrón to Santiago
  • Distance: 15.9 miles / Total 439.7 miles / 707km
  • Time: 6 hours 30
  • Ascent: 1,630’ Decent: 796’
  • Weather: 60 degrees overcast, misting, light rain

How could it be that none of my tribe suggests entering the Cathedral? Having walked the Camino, did we not sense a connection to this revered place? In reality we are bone tired and growing painfully cold. Attend to the needs of the flesh than the spirit.

Mass
Used during service.
Pilgrim’s scallop shell image.
St. James’ bones.
Alter.

  1. Today is your last Camino day ? Today is our 40th marriage anniversary. Not the same kind of Camino but like your Camino, it was made of good and bad days but we never stop going forward. Congratulations. 🥳😉

    1. I’ve read-read your comment. It is so special. Congratulations on your 40th anniversary. Comparing the good and bad days of marriage and walking the Camino is so true. Thanks my friend for all your comments. ❤️~linda

  2. As i remember, it rained the day before we arrived. We also arrived during “Holy Week” and were able to tour the Catacombs (?)

    1. Thanks Kaye. I’m looking forward to a relaxing visit in Madrid before heading home to the best hood. This has been my first sleep-in morning in 6 weeks! Thanks for following and responding to the blog. ❤️~linda

  3. How often we allow the needs of our flesh to overcome the needs of the spirit, seemingly unaware that feeding the spirit allows us to nourish others. So glad you took the time to go in the cathedral and appreciate its beauty.
