Arrived! Santiago de Compostela Cathedral.
These are the images that will become flash memories…moments without the pack, freshly squeezed orange juice, open churches, sello(stamps) documenting my walk, the whirling sound of approaching bikes, blue skies, and sun.
This is my version of the ubiquitous TV Spanish game show. The object is to match the photographed prize (handmade leather purse/B&B with swimming pool/) with the purchase price (60€ /17€). I bought them both.

I find humor in the directional posts listing distances three place values left of the decimal.
Can there be a better reason for staying st a Parador? They do laundry. Even our muddy laundry.
Oops. A gentle slip landed me in the mud. Criterion for the next albergue was washer and drier. We happily discovered the option of a room for two rather than the standard dormitory room for the coming two weeks.
Solphie and I begin our walk. (Sophie requests not to be photographed.) Our choice for today’s distance is 16 beds available in 18 miles. If we go slowly and enjoy the day with a picnic lunch, we will loose out on a bed and have to walk 4 more miles. I don’t like the arrangement; but, there is no choice. We walk fast with no breaks. I’m anxious and my feet rebel. Tomorrow’s is a more generous day with more beds.
