Joyful arrival of a café at a historic mill. I had the sweetest strawberry well placed on a perfect brownie.
The park had an avenue of “Plane” trees over a hundred years old. In some places I see these trees taged and consecutively numbered.

Respite from walking…coffee at a café, backpack off, laundry drying on the line; albeit, guarded by geese.
Never any people to be seen on afternoon strolls through villages other then other pilgrims; all be it, the few five we are.
Go with the flow. Streams, creeks, and rivers were flooded causing us to walk along the road Where upon, we pasted a winery and were offered a glass of superb wine with a note of apricot. Let the wine flow!

As Francophile, I feels so at home with the French that I would walk up to a unknown Frenchman and inquire where he purchased his scarf. Hours later I had not only purchase a similar scarf; but, also run into the same fellow at the scarf store.

Why I walk…
Today is my third day walking with two Frenchmen. Navigating is so much easier with three sets of eyes. The few brief times we were SLIGHTLY off course or not 100% confident we were on the Camino, there was comfort knowing we were together.
Sergio speaks English and is never hesitate to flag down a passing driver to ask for directions. Once when asking directions, the driver actually drove him from our resting spot, to our night’s accommodation (a bungalow), and back to our resting spot. I find help all along The Way.
